Tyrannosaurus rex tooth

Description

Tyrannosaurus rex
Late Cretaceous
Hell Creek
(Maastrichtian)
Harding County
South Dakota, USA.

A fossil tooth of Tyrannosaurus rex preserving both the crown and root, an especially desirable form of preservation for this iconic Late Cretaceous predator. Specimens retaining the root are less commonly recovered than isolated crowns, as post-mortem transport and geological processes often separate the tooth from its socket.
100% real crown with extremely well done cast root. 155mm total length tooth. 55mm real crown
