A rare and complete fossil specimen of Latzelia primordialis, an early centipede from the Pennsylvanian-aged Francis Creek Shale of Illinois. Recovered from the famous Mazon Creek fossil deposits, this species represents one of the earliest terrestrial arthropods preserved in remarkable detail.
