Exceptional fossil kaligrammatid insect measuring approximately 58 mm preserved on a 115 mm natural matrix slab. Kaligrammatids were large lacewing relatives from the Mesozoic Era, often called the butterflies of the Jurassic due to their broad ornate wings and probable nectar feeding behavior.
