This is a tooth of Richaroestesia gilmorei, a medium-sized (about 100 kilograms (220 lb)) theropod, from the Late Cretaceous of North America.  The genus honors paleherpetologist, Richard Estes, who had spent much of his career studying fossil reptiles as well as fishes and amphibians with some emphasis on Late Cretaceous taxa.
