Arctoceras is a genus of ammonite that lived during the Early Triassic and became widespread – known from North America, Russia, Pakistan, China, and Australia.  It lived during a time when life was recovering from the most devastating mass extinction event in the history of the earth.

Here’s a good specimen of an uncommon ammonite from a remote area.
