Very unusual 5.5” long polycheate worm.

Polychaete worms have delicate bodies that are rarely preserved in the fossil record, making Bear Gulch specimens especially important for understanding the diversity and anatomy of ancient marine invertebrates. Deuteronectanebos papillorum is known for its unusual morphology and represents a unique branch of early annelid evolution.
