Pollingeria grandis

Pollingeria is a genus of animal from the Burgess Shale that still resists identification over 100 years after its discovery. Walcott suggested they were the chaetae of a much larger wormlike animal. Other authors have suggested it is some kind of colonial organism, while others think each specimen is an individual animal. This specimen is a 67mm x 52mm slab with three – 20mm, 13mm, 13mm
