Description
Furca mauretanica
Ordovician
Upper Fezouata Formation
Zagora, Draa Valley Morocco.
Unusually large 44mm arthropod on 127mm slab. A very clean and colorful example that even shows the gills. One of our best.
Furca is a soft-bodied marrellamorph arthropod known from only a couple of Ordovician sites worldwide. It is closely related to Marrella splendens from the Burgess Shale.
