Trilobite
Middle Cambrian
Burgess Shale, Stephens Formation
Field, British Columbia, Canada
Big 65mm trilobite on 99mm slab. These are almost always missing the free cheeks so an example this complete is very rare. his specimen is unusual in that it has the silver sheen seen in other Burgess Shale specimens. We can’t see any soft parts, but it’ still a great specimen.

It is a rare find at other Middle Cambrian sites around the world (Utah, Idaho, Greenland, Kazakhstan, and even Antarctica) and has also been reported from the Early Cambrian of California and Nevada.
