This striking 25-inch fossil slab features an exquisitely preserved 8-inch guitarfish surrounded by at least 18 smaller fish, capturing a vivid scene from an ancient aquatic ecosystem. Rhinobatos whitfieldi is an extinct species of guitarfish from the Cretaceous epoch, known for its elegant, ray-like body and long, pointed snout. This ancient bottom-dweller swam the warm, shallow seas, using its flattened body to glide across the seafloor in search of prey.
