Claviaster is a genus of sea urchin (echinoderm) that lived during the Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian-Turonian).  So far, it is known only from sites in north Africa (Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt)

Here’s a pair of these rather strange echinoids on matrix.
