A rare fossil arthropod identified as Retifacies abnormalis Hou et al. 1989, recovered from Cambrian-aged deposits of the Chengjiang biota. This taxon is notable for its unusual body plan and is considered part of the early evolutionary experimentation among stem-group arthropods during the Cambrian explosion.
