Devonian

Moscow Formation

Livingston County, New York, NY, USA

Large 180mm slab with 62mm and 41mm phyllocarids and 24mm brachiopod.

Phyllocarid. Crustacean.

Elymocaris is a genus of the Subclass Phyllocarida, a group of primitive crustaceans known primarily from isolated carapaces.  It appears to have been restricted to the Early Devonian of the eastern United States.

Here’s an interesting association piece with two phyllocarids and a brachiopod.
