Something else weird from the depths of time. We’re still waiting for word on what it might be. Arthropods were still so diverse in the Silurian. 

The Silurian was so long ago, the earth’s rotation was noticeably faster than it is today, closer to its Precambrian speeds.  One complete rotation, one day, was only about 21 hours long.
