Tyrannosaurus rex was one of the largest terrestrial predators ever to exist, occupying the apex ecological role in Late Cretaceous North American ecosystems. Its teeth were designed for powerful bone crushing bites, capable of delivering immense force to subdue large herbivorous dinosaurs.
