Very rare 44mm phyllocarid.

Arthropod. Phyllocarid. Crustacean.

Dithyrocaris is a genus of the Subclass Phyllocarida, a group of crustaceans known primarily from isolated carapaces.  The fossils of this genus are found in the Devonian to Carboniferous of North America, Bolivia, and Scotland.  Phyllocarids, as a group, date back to the Early Cambrian with one order still living today.
